1. Shower faucets are generally press type. Before replacing the faucet, the inlet valve should be closed, or the main valve of the water pipe at home can be closed to facilitate the replacement of the faucet.
2. Find the junction between the showerhead faucet and the water pipe, use a flat screwdriver to unscrew the screw on the showerhead faucet handle, and if necessary, use penetrating lubricant to loosen the screw. Some screws are hidden under metal buttons, plastic buttons, or plastic sheets, and you just need to open the button to see the handle screws installed at the top.
3. After unscrewing the screw, use a wrench to clamp it onto the faucet and turn the wrench in the opposite direction to unscrew the faucet handle. When tightening, do not apply too much force to prevent the old faucet from breaking inside.
4. After unscrewing the old showerhead faucet, remove the triangular sealing gasket from the cover and clean the rust at the screw hole. After cleaning, take out a new showerhead faucet and wrap a few circles of adhesive tape around the bottom of the new faucet to ensure that the faucet will not leak when screwed in. The number of circles of adhesive tape should be determined according to the size of the screw hole at the joint between the faucet and the water pipe.
5. Install the new triangular sealing gasket on the faucet cover, then align the showerhead faucet with the bottom wrapped with adhesive tape to the screw hole, first twist it a few times by hand, and after it cannot be loosened, use a wrench to tighten it firmly. Too much raw tape is wrapped, making it difficult to tighten. We can remove the faucet, remove a few circles of raw tape, and then tighten it again.
6. Install the fixing screws of the showerhead faucet, then open the water valve and test whether the faucet leaks. If there is a leak, it may be due to the joint between the faucet and the water pipe not being tightened. Just tighten it. Some showerhead faucets do not have fixed screws. After tightening the faucet, simply punch the water valve and test for water leakage.
